Music
Music

Music is an integral part of many of our programs and ministries. Under the overall direction of Kiersten Drynan, our Director of Music, we offer a varied musical expression in both traditional and contemporary styles. Our musical programs involve different age groups including children, youth and adults.

During certain seasons of the year and in conjunction with special events, we often present special musicals. We are always looking for new members to supplement our current volunteers. Our major expectation for all of participants is simply that they enjoy their experience.

Church Choir
Our Church Choir is made up of volunteers who sing in four-part harmony: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Practices are held on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm and usually last 1 - 2 hours. The Choir provides leadership for congregational singing during the formal portion of the Sunday Worship Service. The Choir also presents a special musical selection on most Sundays. At Christmas and Easter, the choir welcomes additional volunteers who join in presenting a cantata or musical as the focus for the entire worship service.

Praise Team
Our Praise Team in made up of volunteer singers and musicians. The composition of the Praise Team is largely determined by the talent and interest of the volunteers although we strive to include at least keyboard/piano, guitars and percussion accompaniment along with a vocal group of 3-4 people. Rehearsals are held each Sunday morning at 9:30am. The Praise Team provides leadership for congregational singing of contemporary songs and choruses. The words for these selections are projected on a screen for the congregation by powerpoint and are usually accompanied by suitable graphics designed to reflect and enhance the message of the songs.

Joyful Noise - Jr. Praise Team
"Joyful Noise" is a group of Jr. High and High School youth who enjoy providing occasional musical leadership in our congregational worship services. Practices and rehearsals are usually held only in anticipation of a scheduled presentation. Their musical tastes tend to be very modern and geared to a "youthful" audience. Their presentations are frequently backed up by projected videos and words.

Children's Choir
Our Children's Choir includes children as young as three and performs once a month during the school year. Practices are held after Sunday Service in advance of their scheduled performances with children and families encouraged to learn the music from pre-taped tracks that are provided. Their presentations are often accompanied by music and/or video tracks, dramatic readings, and even costumed roles.
